API Key Terms of Use

The API Key Terms of Use (or “Terms”) apply to your use of API Keys on the CoinCatch platform.

Once you begin using an API Key, or you confirm acceptance of these Terms, or you receive a notice related to these Terms (as determined by CoinCatch, including clicking “Agree” or any other relevant term), this Agreement shall become effective.

In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between these Terms and other CoinCatch Terms of Use, these Terms shall prevail with respect to the services outlined herein, unless otherwise explicitly stated.

 

1. Definition

API Key

 

An API Key serves as a unique identifier (using an API Key, public key, private key, or digital signature) that enables its holder to programmatically access their CoinCatch account and related features of the CoinCatch platform.

You are solely responsible for ensuring the security, confidentiality, and proper use of your API Key in compliance with applicable laws. You may generate multiple API Keys on CoinCatch, each with different access levels and permissions.

You acknowledge that CoinCatch bears no responsibility for any activity that occurs under any API Key you use or generate, including but not limited to unauthorized access, account misuse, data breaches, or financial losses. Any losses incurred from transactions initiated via the API Key you use or generate will be borne solely by you.

You must implement appropriate technical and security measures to protect your API Key from loss, theft, hacking, or unauthorized disclosure or access. You must promptly report to CoinCatch any loss of your API Key and any suspected or actual misuse.

You acknowledge and agree that you are fully responsible for any actions or instructions performed using the API Key, and neither CoinCatch nor its affiliates shall bear any liability for losses arising from such actions or instructions. You further acknowledge and agree that CoinCatch may share or allow access to your personal data based on your actions and instructions.

You also acknowledge that anyone accessing your account using the API Key assigned to you is authorized to do so on your behalf, and you accept full responsibility for any resulting consequences. If we have reasonable grounds to believe that the security of an API Key has been compromised, CoinCatch may lawfully suspend your API Key.

 

CoinCatch Technology

CoinCatch's API Keys and any proprietary technology, including but not limited to software, processes, scripts, algorithms, user interfaces, proprietary techniques, designs, and other tangible or intangible technical materials or information provided to you by CoinCatch during the validity period, as well as all updates and intellectual property rights associated with them.

 

Intellectual Property Rights

Includes patents, invention rights, copyrights, neighboring and related rights, trademarks and service marks, business names and domain names, trade dress and design rights, goodwill, and rights to bring legal actions for passing off or unfair competition, design rights, computer software rights, database rights, rights to use and maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information (including trade secrets), and all other intellectual property rights, whether registered or unregistered, including all applications and rights to apply for and obtain rights, renewals or extensions, and rights to claim priority, as well as all similar or equivalent rights that may exist now or in the future.

 

Sanctions

Refers to any economic or financial sanctions or trade embargoes imposed, administered, or enforced by any sanctioning authority.

 

Sanctioning Authorities

Any major authority imposing sanctions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, any EU member state, the United Nations, and the United Nations Security Council, as well as any government entities of such sanctioning authorities, such as the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control, and Her Majesty's Treasury in the United Kingdom.

 

2. Permissions for Using the API Key

Under the scope of these Terms, CoinCatch hereby grants you a personal, time-limited, limited, and revocable right and license, which may not be sublicensed, transferred, or exclusively authorized to others, to integrate and use the API Key with CoinCatch and access the CoinCatch platform in accordance with CoinCatch's specified methods and in compliance with applicable laws. CoinCatch reserves all rights not expressly granted in these Terms.

The permissions granted for the API Key under these Terms are subject to your compliance with the conditions and responsibilities outlined herein.

 

During the term of this Agreement or thereafter, you shall not directly or indirectly:

• Reverse engineer or decompile the API Key or API-related data, or attempt in any other way to discover the source code, underlying structure, inventions, algorithms, proprietary technologies, or ideas (collectively referred to as "Raw Materials") of the API Key or API-related data, unless reverse engineering is only prohibited under applicable law.
• Modify or translate the API Key or API-related data, or create derivatives, improvements, modifications, enhancements, or extensions of the API Key or API-related data in any form without prior written authorization from CoinCatch.
• Access or seek to access (including seeking access methods) any personal data controlled by CoinCatch.
• Fail to use the API Key in accordance with these Terms or CoinCatch's other written instructions, as well as all applicable laws, regulations, and applicable sanctions.
• Use or exploit the API Key or API-related data for any purpose in any manner unless expressly allowed under these Terms.
• Challenge (whether in court, through intervention, appeals, or other means) CoinCatch’s intellectual property rights related to the CoinCatch technology licensed under these Terms.
• Grant or attempt to grant any security interest or otherwise restrict the API Key or API-related data.
• Use the API Key for any illegal or malicious purposes, including but not limited to market manipulation, insider trading, front-running, pump and dump, wash trading, or fraud.
• Allow or assist any third party in implementing any of the above actions.
• Your access to our website or the use of any services provided on the website should not be construed as transferring any intellectual property rights to you.

 

3. Risks

You acknowledge and agree that using the API Key carries certain risks, and you are responsible for ensuring that your API Key is not shared with any third party with whom you do not wish to share control of your CoinCatch account. For the avoidance of doubt, you agree to treat your API Key as a password, and you agree not to disclose your API Key, either inadvertently or intentionally. You acknowledge that you bear full responsibility for any risks and potential losses arising from the use of the API Key, including but not limited to unauthorized access, data breaches, and financial losses. CoinCatch and its affiliates shall not be liable for any loss or damage caused by the use of the API Key. You are fully responsible for managing your API Key and protecting your account through the following measures, including but not limited to:

• Using the API Key solely for a single purpose or application.
• Enabling API Key permissions only as necessary.
• Disabling any unused API Key and immediately deleting any and all unused API Keys.
• Implementing IP address whitelisting for all API Keys to block access from unnecessary IP addresses.
• Avoiding placing the API Key directly into publicly accessible or insecure source code or repositories.
• Not storing your API Key in any cloud location.
• Not sharing your API Key with any third party with whom you do not wish to share control of your CoinCatch account.
• Using RSA key encryption for enhanced security.
• Deleting your API Key and generating a new key when you believe it has been compromised or exposed.

 

4. Authorization

By using the API Key, you are authorized to send programmatic commands to CoinCatch according to the permissions of your API Key. You acknowledge and agree that you bear full responsibility for any actions or instructions executed using your API Key, and CoinCatch (or its affiliates, assignees, etc.) shall not be held liable for any losses or damages arising from such actions or instructions. You further acknowledge and agree that CoinCatch may share or allow access to your personal data based on your actions and instructions.

 

5. Cancellation

CoinCatch reserves the right to cancel or disable the use of the API Key at any time, at its sole discretion, and without notice. You may cancel or disable any API Key granted to you through the program specified by CoinCatch at any time.

 

6. Limitation of Liability

CoinCatch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the API Key (including but not limited to loss of profits). Furthermore, to the maximum extent permitted by law, CoinCatch shall not be liable for any consequential, incidental, indirect, punitive, or exemplary damages, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, even if such damages are foreseeable and regardless of whether you were informed of the possibility of such damages.

CoinCatch's liability shall be further limited by the terms outlined in this agreement.

 

7. Indemnity

If CoinCatch and/or any of its affiliates' directors, managers, or employees suffer any damages due to your (or your authorized users') breach of any obligations set forth in these terms, or any violation of applicable laws, sanctions, or regulations, or any misconduct during the use of the services provided under this agreement, you shall be fully responsible for indemnifying CoinCatch and/or its affiliates' directors, managers, and employees, without prejudice to any other rights CoinCatch may have under the law.

Without limiting the above, you agree, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, to defend CoinCatch and its affiliates and/or their respective directors, managers, employees, and agents ("Indemnified Parties") against all third-party claims. You shall be fully responsible for any administrative orders or lawsuits arising from the use or misuse of the API Key ("Claims"). You also agree to indemnify the Indemnified Parties for any costs, losses, or damages incurred due to such Claims, including reasonable legal litigation and defense fees.

 

8. Termination

CoinCatch has the right to terminate these terms at any time. Upon termination:

• You must immediately terminate all rights and permissions granted to you under these terms, return them to CoinCatch, and cease accessing or using the API Key.
• CoinCatch shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or costs incurred by any party due to the termination of these terms (or any part thereof), whether or not the party was aware of such damages.

 

9. Operation Features

CoinCatch does not guarantee that the operation of the API Key will be uninterrupted or error-free. CoinCatch also makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, applicability, reliability, completeness, or performance of the API Key. You agree to use the API Key at your own risk.

 

10. Applicable Law

When using the API Key, you must comply with applicable laws and assume all obligations under these terms. You must not cause CoinCatch to violate any applicable laws or any obligations set forth by regulatory authorities. You must provide all supporting information related to the use of the API Key to assist CoinCatch in fulfilling any obligations required by applicable laws or regulatory authorities. You must not allow access to the CoinCatch platform from Iran, North Korea, or any other sanctioned countries/regions. At any time, upon CoinCatch’s reasonable request, you must provide written proof to CoinCatch that you are in full compliance with your obligations under these terms, along with legitimate evidence of compliance.

 

11. Modifications

CoinCatch reserves the right to modify these terms at any time and will disclose such modifications via its website. No separate notice will be given. It is your responsibility to regularly check for any changes to the terms. Continued use of the API Key after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms and conditions.

 

12. Entire Agreement

CoinCatch reserves the final right to interpret these terms. The above terms and conditions constitute the complete agreement between you and CoinCatch regarding the use of the API Key and supersede all prior or concurrent oral or written communications and proposals between you and CoinCatch, unless otherwise agreed.
